چکیده
Abstract We examine travelling wave solutions of the reaction–diffusion equation, ? t u = R ( stretchy="false">) + x D , with a Stefan-like condition at edge moving front. With only few assumptions on R ( u ) and D ), variety new semi-infinite waves arise in this Stefan model. While other models can admit for unique wavespeed, we show that model exist over range wavespeeds. Furthermore, determine necessary conditions which all Using asymptotic analysis various distinguished limits obtain approximate these waves, agreeing numerical simulations high accuracy.

Existence and asymptotics of travelling waves in the thermo-diffusive model for flame propagation in semi-infinite cylinders
The aim of this work is to prove existence results and derive asymptotic limits for some nonlinear elliptic problems set in unbounded cylinders arising in flame propagation. We concentrate on problems arising in the modelization of burner flames. One of these models deals with oblique derivative boundary conditions on a strip in R2. A second one is a problem set in R with Neumann boundary condi...
متن کاملTravelling Waves in the Lattice Epidemic Model
In this article, we establish the existence and nonexistence of travelling waves for a lattice non-monotone integral equation which is an epidemic model. Moreover, the wave is either convergent to the positive equilibrium or oscillating on the positive equilibrium at positive infinity, and has the exponential asymptotic behavior at negative infinity. For the non-monotone case, the asymptotic sp...
متن کاملFrom periodic travelling waves to travelling fronts in the spike-diffuse-spike model of dendritic waves.
In the vertebrate brain excitatory synaptic contacts typically occur on the tiny evaginations of neuron dendritic surface known as dendritic spines. There is clear evidence that spine heads are endowed with voltage-dependent excitable channels and that action potentials invade spines. Computational models are being increasingly used to gain insight into the functional significance of a spine wi...
متن کاملA General Scalar-Valued Gap Function for Nonsmooth Multiobjective Semi-Infinite Programming
For a nonsmooth multiobjective mathematical programming problem governed by infinitely many constraints, we define a new gap function that generalizes the definitions of this concept in other articles. Then, we characterize the efficient, weakly efficient, and properly efficient solutions of the problem utilizing this new gap function. Our results are based on $(Phi,rho)-$invexity,...
